Since February 2015, it's been confirmed that Peter Parker/Spider-Man will be coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a new reboot of films distributed by both Disney and Sony.
They even confirmed that Spider-Man will first appear in the upcoming movie Captain America: Civil War (He was even referenced in Ant-Man). The new actor who will be playing Peter will be Tom Holland and also Aunt May will be Marisa Tomei:
So here's what I know so far; they won't include the origin story in the new Spider-Man movies, which deals with Peter gaining his powers and the murder of Uncle Ben, because it would probably be too repetitive considering it's already happened in 2 films. Though, I am hoping it would be mentioned or have a brief flashback during the films.
It's also been said that Peter will be a teenager around 15 or 16, and the films will take place in high school and focus on Peter's struggles with using his powers as he lives a teenage life. Personality, I've always preferred Spider-Man as a teenager rather than a adult because he always represented the teen demographic of everything they go through during high school. Besides, considering the MCU is mostly consisted of adult heroes, he would be a nice deviation from all that if he were a teen.
For his appearance in Civil War, it's mentioned that he will first appear in the film in his own "homemade" costume. Until Tony Starks/Iron Man gets him to be part of his team and might give him multiple suits before he actually gets into his classic suit, even designing the web shooters for him. I'm wondering how much of a role Spider-Man will play in this movie.
As for Aunt May, she'll apparently be much younger in the MCU than any of the previous films. Personality, I'm willing to give this new change a chance as long as she is true to her characters.
So overall, I look forward to how this new Spider-Man will be like and him teaming up with other super heroes.
